The Official (looking for a new sponsor) Country Reviews

This page came about by request from several different individuals along the road who wanted to know the highlights and my opinions of the places I have been to.

Now you have to keep in mind when reading my reviews I am on a motorcycle so if you decide to visit these places my experiences will be completely different when sitting in a car or even worse a bus.

First I want to make a couple suggestions when traveling. We will call these Josh’s Traveling Tips.

1) Travel by motorcycle, I understand (well not really but I will pretend) that motorcycling isn’t for everyone. So if you have to rent a car pay the extra for the convertible so you can feel the wind in your face.

2) If you are in a car then turn the radio off and be forced to enjoy the scenery and your own thoughts. The radio distracts you from being where you are and often distracts from fully enjoying the scenery. **This rule doesn’t apply to South Dakota and some other Midwest states.

3) Enjoy it when things go wrong, some of the best times have been when things have gone wrong, humanity comes through and you meet people who are willing to help you. People are reluctant to help an asshole who is freaking out but they will always be happy to help a smiling calm person who is in need. Also these times you cant plan for and could be a chance for a true adventure.

4) Stay off the freeways and major roads.

5) Meet the locals. It is actually hard for me to walk up to strangers and talk to them, I have to literally force myself but after the initial introduction those fears go away. Always have a good tried and true story to break the ice if the conversation isn’t going anywhere. People love good stories, if your life sucks and you don’t have any then just make one up. If you don’t speak the language smile allot.

6) When you go on vacation make it a vacation of something you enjoy. For example if you enjoy golfing and really don’t care about castles then spend your time golfing not doing scenic tours of castles because you feel obligated to. I think too many people do the things they are “supposed” to do on vacations and end up just having mediocre time. For example I enjoy motorcycle and people, I don’t enjoy museums, so very rarely you will hear me give an in-depth review of famous museums. Is my vacation any less of a vacation, I think not but some would disagree but since this isn’t their website…….

Well enough of me rambling on here is what I thought of each country.

The ratings are on a 1-4 basis,

Cost 1 being cheap and 4 being sell a kidney expensive

Scenery 1 being ugly and 4 being the equivalent to an asian supermodel

Friendliness 1 being rude and 4 being people offering me their daughters and a place to sleep. Now please keep in mind this is a general impression of the people as a whole, individuals are excluded from this.

Weather 1 being miserable and 4 being sunny days and almost wanting to wear a speedo nice, almost.

The Josh rating is on a 1-10, I guess it is a size thing.
